AutoCAD R14 版已于 1997 年 5 月 8 日正式发行,让我们一起来看看

Raw Performance
1.Drawing files open much faster than Release 13
by up to 57 percent.
2.Drawing files save, DXFIN and DXFOUT, WBLOCK
work much faster than Release 13 by up to 66
percent.
3.Editing operations like ERASE, UNDO, REGEN,
selection, text scrolling are significantly
faster.
4.A new graphics pipeline, based on HEIDI?,
eliminates the refresh file and provides high
speed and throughput on display operations.
5.Layer operations such as on/off/freeze/thaw work
much faster than Release 13 by up to 400
percent.
6.ACIS.DLL is now dynamically loaded, creating
memory savings of up to 3MB.
7.Zooms and Pans in Paper Space no longer require
a regen a speed increase of 5 to 10 times.
8.Zoom Extents no longer requires a regen a speed
increase of 5 to 10 times.
9.Real time pan and zoom now work in Paper Space
and in Plot Preview mode.
10.Switch between real time pan and zoom with a
right click menu without exiting either command.
11.Number of active viewports in Paper Space
tripled from 16 to 48.
12.New Lightweight Polyline saves disk space and
speeds up drawing loads and regens.
13.New Hatch entity saves disk space and memory.
Associative hatch recalculation is quicker.
14.Reference files can be made demand-loaded,
improving file loading and display speeds
considerably.
15.ObjectARX applications can be made demand
loaded, improving program startup time and
reducing memory consumption.
Drawing Productivity
16.Heads-up drafting is quick and easy with the new
AutoSnap? feature. Preview and cycle through snap
points before selection.
17.Relative object placement with existing geometry
is easy using the new Tracking feature.
18.Object Snaps can be toggled on and off from the
status bar without losing settings.
19.Coordinate entry can override object snaps
optionally.
20.Create and rename layers in a snap with the new
Layer and Linetype properties dialog box.
21.Layer dialog supports in-place editing, right
click, and standard Windows? 95 behavior.
22.Sort layers alphabetically, or by color, or by
visibility state with a single click.
23.Show all unused layers or XREF dependent layers
with a single click.
24.Manage layers in viewports with the new Layer
dialog.
25.Load and rename linetypes in a snap with the new
LINETYPE dialog box.
26.Sort linetypes alphabetically, or by
description, with a single click.

28.List and edit layers, colors, and linetypes of
selected objects using the enhanced Object
Properties Toolbar.
29.Change colors of objects easily with the new

31.Layers can be made current by just picking an
entity.
32.Add text annotation using the new, intuitive
Multiline Text editor, which includes an

45.Online Help has been improved using Windows

through the drawing setup process.
47.New Drawing Templates help clearly identify and
access prototype drawing files.
Presentation Quality Drawings
48.Rendering has been extended to provide full
photorealistic capabilities, including texture
maps, etc.
49.Solid-fill closed regions using a familiar point
and shoot hatch interface.
50.Control the order in which objects are drawn
using the Draworder command.
51.Use any Windows TTF and TTC (TrueType collection
fonts) for creating text in your drawings.
52.Embedded OLE 2.0 objects now plot on all
Autodesk Device Interface? (ADI) 4.2 and 4.3
capable devices.
53.Control the visibility, selectability, and
drawing order of embedded OLE objects.
Enhanced Data Sharing
54.The Web button provides single-click access to
the Internet from within AutoCAD.
55.Save files in Drawing Web Format (DWF) from the
EXPORT dialog.
56.Open and save files by specifying a URL, or by
dragging and dropping files into your browser.
57.Associate URLs with objects in the drawing to
create a browsable DWF.
58.New SAVEAS dialog makes it easy to save the
drawing in a variety of drawing file formats
including AutoCAD Release 12 and Release 13
formats.
59.Drawing files are 100 percent round-trippable to
Release 13.
60.The EXPORT dialog now supports Release 12 and
Release 13 DXF files, STL files, and many other
formats.
61.Include color, bitonal, and gray scale raster
images.
62.Clip images to any rectangular or polygonal

63.View and manage Raster Images via new IMAGE
dialog.
64.Raster images can be externally referenced by a
drawing.

84.Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFCs) are now

Management Tools
87.A usable configuration is automatically created
whenever required.
88.New Preferences dialog replaces text-based
