APPLICATION SERVER

You may know them best as the makers of the ubiquitous black planner
books found tucked under the arms of people on the go. For more than fifty
years, Day-Timers, Inc. has been a global leader in the estimated $900
million personal planner and organizer market, offering a wide variety of
paper-based and desktop scheduling solutions to consumers.

Yesterday, at Demo '99 in Palm Springs, Day-Timers launched Day-Timer
Digital (http://digital.daytimer.com/), a new Web-based calendaring service
utilizing a complete Sun solution: the NetDynamics application server and
Solaris Operating Environment software running on Sun Enterprise server
hardware.

"The scalability of Sun's NetDynamics product was the single most important
factor in our application server choice," stated Rob Humphrey, vice president
of operations and development at Day-Timer Digital. "Sun's NetDynamics
application server is being used to support at least one million users per
server cluster and will scale to millions more in the next few years."

INFOBUS 1.2 IS NOW AVAILABLE

Sun Microsystems announced the release of InfoBus 1.2. This new release
supports JDK 1.1 and the Java 2 platform, adding a variety of features to
simplify development and implementation of DataCustomers.

InfoBus 1.2 includes a new interface that allows dimensions to change
arrays. In addition, new classes have been added to simplify implementation
of data items and ease the firing of new events. InfoBus 1.2 is
Y2K-compliant.
