that's right, you'd better read a book or some article about the
installation of linux.i remmenber before the first time i install
linux,i have read the instruction for more than 10 times, but still
didn't know what did those /etc/hda1 /etc/hda2 mean, then i start
to install my linux for the first time,i succeed, but it soon has been
dammage by my inccorect operation, so i had to install it again.
but this time,it is not so easy,it said there is some error in my
hard disk partition,so i have to format my hard disk.
install ....format .... install ....format .......install...format...
after many times,
i finnally know how to install it in a correct way.
i must tell you this:
Once you make up your mind to install linux on your computer,
you are preparing to lost all data on you hard disk.
but this will not always happen, if you have some friends who
have successfully installed linux on their computer.
you can ask for their help.then you will not go into the wrong way.
but making mistake is also a good way to improve.
don't be afraid of making mistake.
