(1) You can read/write a port with inport()/outport() functions
    or inline assembly within a 16-bit application or DLL in
    Windows 95;

(2) Access the hardware resources by the standard way of VxD.
    This is the recommended method of Win32 development. To do
    this, u may have know something about DDK;

(3) Some third-party Tools such as Windriver or WinTools ...
    may also help. You have to gather more information from inet;

(4) For a compromise, your Win32 application can also call a 16-bit
    DLL in witch u can use traditional I/O method. This's called
    'Thunk' technology and u can get more knowledge from online
    help and docs of MSVC 4.x-5.x. There are 3 difference thunk,
    for Win32s, Win32 of 95 and Windows NT 4.x and they aren't
    compatible very well each other.

(5) Also, a MS-DOS driver (.sys in config.sys or exe/com in autoexec)
    can work with Windows 95 quite well. you can control the driver
    by software interrupt (int xxx) or by the way of a piece of
    shared MS-DOS memory. This method is not suited for the
    high-speed / large-quantity usage.
