When I attempt to TRANSLATE a module into an NMS file with the
Loader32 utility (symbol loader), I get a message that says "cannot
find PDB DLL. Place the MSDev\Bin directory in your path". I cannot find
the file PDB.DLL. What file is the symbol loader looking for?
PDB DLL is not referring to a file by name. We need a DLL in the
MSDev\bin directory (MSPDBxx.dll) to extract information from the PDB
file. If you are using VC++ 4.2 or earlier, the dll is located in the
MSDev\bin directory. If you are using VC++ 5.0, the dll is located in
the MSDEV50\SharedIDE\bin directory. Put the appropriate directory in
the environment path, and the problem will be solved.
