SSL (中文：SSL)
Secure Sockets Layer簡稱為SSL，在使用者傳輸資料之前先做加密處理，使資料變成亂
碼，網站接收到資料之後再解密成原來的資料，不過這種方式沒有電子證書或者簽名，目
前是網路上最被廣泛採用的一種規格。
SSL是由網景公司開發開發的安全開放標準，不但可以應用在網際網路 Internet 上，也
可在全球資訊網 World Wide Web (WWW) 上的電子商務 e-Business 作安全把關，因為當
初SSL開發的目的就是為了建立一個安全的通信通道，讓信用卡或金融卡等重要資訊不至
遭到截取。
SSL是將公開金鑰的加密技術加入合併到網景領航員 Netscape Navigator 的網路瀏覽器
Web Browser 裡面，還有網景公司商業用的伺服器 Server 裡，且目前大多數的網路
Network
伺服器與瀏覽器也已經採用SSL。SSL的加密與解密過程當中，必須透過密碼簿中的金鑰
才能將亂碼完全解開，為了確保使用者拿到的金鑰安全性與公正性，金鑰必須透過具有公
信力的伺服器認證中心認證。
SSL與安全電子交易 Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) 兩者經常被相提並論，因為
SET也是被廣泛利用於保護客戶金融資料的網路安全機制，若要得知更多SSL、SET的資訊
